Cancel your Austar, Get rid of the Foxtel, Get Way More Channels and save Heaps of Money

When my Austar Bill Topped $100 a Month I started to Look for alternatives, $1200 a year PLUS to watch TV was Just getting ridiculous. Not to mention the Repeats.
It still amazes me how they can repeat a show 10 Times a week and never have it on at a Time I can watch it. Sure you can get the digital recorder but that costs another $15-$20 a month. On top of The $100 it just gets too expensive.
I had seen the satellite TV on your pc ads for a long time. But most people I spoke said that the services where just plain Crap. Small screen sizes and LOW Definiton to save bandwidth. All in all it sounded pretty bad.
I cancelled my Austar and decided that I would Invest 1 Months Austar FEES into investigating the satellite TV on pc Programs.
I started with a few free Ones that I found and I was Bitterly disappointed. My Computer was getting attacked by viruses and there seemed to be Loads of weird software showing up on My desktop.It didn’t take long to abandon the free satelite tv to pc programs.
I then went to a few mates houses to see what they where using to get thier TV fix Instaed of austar or foxtel.
I saw 3 different Satellite TV to Pc Programs and I was Impressed what they could achieve.
Good Quality sound and the Picture quality was excellent. One satellite TV program was Plugged into a 52 Inch Plasma and it was BETTER than the picture I was getting via my austar Box.
Now there are some down sides to having this type of Satellite television.
Number One was too Much Choice. 4500 Channels. It takes a day Just to channel surf them all. I found that I watch about 30 of them regularly and often Investigate the Others.
Number 2 was I had needed to plug a PC Into my TV to get the full benefit. Watching the TV on your pc gets boring fast. Having it in 52 inches Of Full HIGH DEF with surround sound is way better, not to mention my lounge chair makes my Office chair look like a board on 2 bricks.
The Biggest advantage with this Satellite TV Program was the Digital recorder included for FREE. I have 500 GIG on my hard drive, so having the free digital recorder allows me to get my favourite TV shows and keep them stored for later Viewing.
In fact you can det and forget and capture an entire series with No Hassles at all.
