Win Win Win, Have some fun and win a prize or 2
G’day Readers,
There is No Better feeling than winning something, a Frozen chook at the RSL or a thousands of dollars on deal or No deal, its all good!
There are Thousands of competitions out there where you can Win just about anything. The majority are Free to join and require tofill out a form. Some need a barcode or receipt they are heaps of different typres.
My favourite is is the “In 25 words or less tel us …….” It appeals to my creative side and is a bit of fun coming up with the 25 words. Companies use thes to stimulate their Marketing department, it is easier and cheaper to give away a new 52 Inch Plasma than it is to hire an ad company.
I actually won a BBQ in one of these competitions. It was for BBQ sauce and you had to say in 25 words or less why their sauce made the BBQ taste so good. It was something lame like “It’s not an Australian sausage sandwich without Fresh bread, Onions and XYZ BBQ Sauce”. The BBQ is out the front and has been getting used 3 times a week for a year or more now.
I also found a story about a Lady that makes a LIVING from entering comepetitions, her house is filled with prizez that she has Won. Not to mention the cars, Holidays and cash that she has also received. She has Like 10 Microwaves and 20 toasters. Her House Likes BIG W. But she’s having fun.
Here are Her TOP TIPS for Increasing your chances of Having a WIN.
1: Learn the rules
If you don’t know the rules on how to play, you can actually disqualify yourself before you even start.
2: Don’t waste time decorating your entry and the envelope
Research has shown with promoters that you’re most likely to win if you use plain envelopes.
3: Be Patient
The competitions you enter today may not be drawn for a couple of months.
4: Learn how to ‘cheat’ the smart way
Join a comping club- they list all the current competitions running in Australia on a daily basis.

5: Best magazines to win from
The more difficult it is to enter, the easier it is to win. I’d recommend OK magazine for entering competitions. The worst are probably very large circulation magazines that require very little effort to enter. You have a much lower chance of winning a prize in those competitions.
So if you have a few spare Minutes or are sick of posting advertising or working on your business, Throw a few Competition entries In and see what Happens. You’ve got to be in it to win it and someone gets these prizes it might as well be you.
